All about our Founder, Executive Director, Sharnee` Woods-Summers, is a true inspiration. A West Philadelphia native-born and raised. 16 years ago, a plan was to start a non-profit organization for women and children for her to give back to. Looking at the struggling communities today she knew she could provide better resources and a safe haven that would prevent homelessness, provide sufficient employment, the reunification of families and so much more.

Sharnee has a Bachelors' degree in criminal justice from Kaplan University and a master's degree In Psychology from Purdue University Global. With over 14 years of experience working in the Drug & Alcohol field, 10 years of experience in Mental Health, and well over 14 years working with children and youth in behavioral health. Sharnee's wealth of knowledge, financial acumen, and leadership experience puts Summers Home for Hope in an outstanding position to blossom. Her ultimate goal is to end homelessness for women and children in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.

Sharnee N. Woods-Summers founded Summers Home for Hope Inc. in March of 2018, with the vision, drive, and passion to improve upon our Non-Profit Organization that will serve women and children across the state, she will continue to focus on developing the organization with experience and integrity. She plans to open a residential facility in both Philadelphia County and Delaware County that will be able to house women and children.
